Why it Matters
Paint correction is the process of removing scratches, marring and damage from automotive paint. The benefits of paint correction are numerous. Paint correction can be done in a variety of ways, including by hand with clay or by machine using a rotary polisher/polisher combo. We have compiled a list of different reasons why you should consider having your car professionally painted corrected at your local detail shop!
When is the right time to get it?
The best time to have your car professionally paint corrected is before you start experiencing scratches, marring and damage. A detailer can remove up to 80% of the swirls that are on a vehicle’s surface with just one correction phase! The more corrective phases there are, the less likely it will be for future defects to form in your finish.
What if I already have those?
Don’t worry – many customers come into our shop after they’ve found some flaws in their paint finish. We offer two different levels of corrections depending on what kind of imperfections need attention: Paint Correction ($150) or Full Detail (starting at $250). If you’re only looking for minor repairs such as light scratching.
How often should I get paint correction?
We recommend getting a paint correction every two years to keep your vehicle looking like new.
Paint is the only thing protecting your car’s interior and metal surfaces from being scratched or damaged, which means that it is important for you to make sure that it stays in good condition as long as possible. One way to do this is by having regular paint corrections with our detailers at Kustom Detail & Car Care- we can remove up to 80% of swirls on the exterior surface so they don’t cause any further damage!
